The League of Milwaukee Artists is seeking artists' submissions for our upcoming members' summer exhibition, Carefree Summer at the Cedarburg Cultural Center (CCC), W62 N56 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg.
Artists are encouraged to submit artwork consistent with the theme Carefree Summer
- Maximum size is 36” x 36” with no 3D sculptures.
- Please, family-friendly & non-controversial work.
- In accordance with CCC policy - “No sexually explicit nudity, foul language, or violent imagery will be accepted as part of the exhibit."
- You can submit one entry for consideration.
- 35 pieces will be selected for the show.

KEY DATES
Submission Deadline: May 16th to June 30th
Selections Announced via email: Wednesday, July 8th
Delivery of Artwork: Tuesday, July 14th, from 10 am – 5 pm
Exhibition Dates: Saturday, July 18th to Sunday, August 23rd
Opening Reception Date: Thursday, July 23rd, from 5 – 7 pm. Awards to be announced at 6 pm.
Pick up artwork: Tuesday, August 25th, from 10 am – 5 pm
VENUE – Cedarburg Cultural Center (CCC) - W62N546 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, WI

- The CCC will hang the show and create show labels.
- The CCC retains a 35% commission for sold artwork for any artist who is a CCC member, and 40% for any artist who is not a CCC member. The CCC collects, reports, and pays the applicable WI sales tax.
- For those artists juried in, you will be provided a “Insurance Form/Exhibit Contract” from the CCC that you will need to bring with you at drop off.
ARTWORK GUIDELINES
- All 2D artwork must be framed - wired, with no saw-tooth hangers- and properly finished if gallery-wrapped.
- No work should protrude more than 2” from the wall when hung for safety reasons.
- Please adhere a label on the back of each piece that includes your name, title, medium, and selling price.
AWARDS
The awards ceremony for the show will be held by the LMA as part of the opening reception.
- Best of Show – $150.00
- First Place – $100.00
- Second Place – $75.00
- Third Place – $50.00
- Honorable Mention – $25.00
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

- Images of artwork need to be JPG or JPEG files with only the title of the work in the file name. Example: "titleofartwork.jpg." When naming the submitted file, please omit "The" or similar words from the title.
- There is no need to include your name in the file name; it comes attached to your application.
- The maximum total for all uploads together cannot exceed 15 MB.
