The League of Milwaukee Artists is seeking artists' submissions for our upcoming members' spring exhibition, "At the Intersection of Art and Industry," at The Grohmann Museum.
Artists are encouraged to submit artwork consistent with the theme, At the Intersection of Art and Industry.
- Maximum size is 36” x 36” image area, 36” in height for 3D sculptures.
- Please submit family-friendly and non-controversial work (optional).
- You can submit up to 2 entries for consideration.
- Up to 36 pieces will be selected for the show.
The judges currently include James Kieselburg.
KEY DATES
Submission Deadline: November 27, 2026
Selections Announced via email: December 4, 2026
Delivery of Artwork: December 17 – 18, 2026, from 9am – 5pm (during gallery hours)
Exhibition Dates: January 15 – April 25, 2027
Opening Reception Date: January 15, 2027, from 5 – 9 pm. Awards announced at 6:30 pm.
Pick up artwork: April 29 – 30, 2027, from 9am – 5pm (during gallery hours)

- The venue will hang the show and create show labels.
- No commission/brokerage will be taken on the sale of artwork.
- The Grohmann will connect interested buyers with the artists.
- Please note that a contact email for each artist will be supplied to The Grohmann to facilitate any potential sale.
ARTWORK GUIDELINES
- All 2D artwork must be framed, wired, with no saw-tooth hangers, and properly finished if gallery-wrapped.
- No work should protrude more than 4” from the wall when hung for safety reasons. (delete if not needed).
- Please adhere a label on the back of each piece that includes your name, email, title, medium, and selling price.
AWARDS
The awards ceremony for the show will be held by the LMA during the opening reception.
- Best of Show – $150.00
- First Place – $100.00
- Second Place – $75.00
- Third Place – $50.00
- Honorable Mention – $25.00
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Use the LMA website for submissions under the Exhibitions tab.
- Images of artwork need to be JPG or JPEG files with only the title of the work in the file name. Example: "titleofartwork.jpg." When naming the submitted file, please omit "The" or similar words from he title.
- There is no need to include your name in the file name; it comes attached to your application.
- The maximum total for all uploads together cannot exceed 15 MB.
